A biblical dive into what it means to live a well balanced life as a Christian with Fredrick Horn.
SPEAKER_00
Good morning, brothers. My name is Frederick Horn and I'll be coming to you today with part four of the motivational podcast. And I was just thinking, what better way to uh end it with just recapping the last three weeks and get us a broader understanding of what it what it is to be to have a balance being well-balanced in our life. You know, we talked about the financial part, we talked about the spiritual part, we talked about the emotional part, we talked about the uh uh physical part of it. Well, you know, guys, what have we really done in the last three weeks that really have changed and made our life more well balanced? You know, we could talk about structure again, we could talk about you know uh adapting uh changes in our life, we could talk about you know uttering ourselves, we could talk about our core values, we could talk about our self-compassion, we could talk about a lot of things, but what are we doing? What are we doing? You know, the situation is that we're we're fearful of change, and we're not trusting God to be faithful with what he's doing in our lives, you know. Fear will cause you to not see yourself as you are, and you will always think negative about what uh is going on around you in your life. You know, you go to the doctor and they say, hey, you might have this and you might have that, and we get fearful. You know, so we we we tend to uh take on the responsibilities of what it takes to not have a well-balanced life instead of doing the things to have a well-balanced life. You know, we we always want to say that I can do this, but what are we really doing? Are we really doing the things that it takes to be well-balanced in our life? And that's the answer that that's a question that you gotta ask yourself. Am I really doing the things to be well-balanced in my life? Or is I'm just listening to these, watching these videos just to have something to do for seven or eight minutes of my time and just and just to say, hey, I watched the video and it was good. What are we doing? Are we really making a change? Are we really adapting to to what to the changes are that we need to make in our life to be well balanced? Have I really have I put down uh the porn over the last three weeks? Have I signed out and did a budget over the last three weeks? Have I joined the gym in the last three weeks? Have I have I spoke with a financial coach in the last three weeks? What are we doing? See, we could continue to make videos and we could continue to send out uh motivational messages to you guys, but the truth of the matter is what are we doing? What are we changing? What are we adapting in our life to be a more well-balanced person? To be a more of a well-balanced man. See, God gave a man broader shoulders to carry the weight. So are we really doing the things that it takes to be well balanced to protect our family? Are we really doing the things that be well balanced to have a better spiritual life? To have a better financial life, to have a better emotional life, to be better physically fit for life. Are we really doing those things? Or are we just going through life on a day-to-day basis basis and just continue to believe that life is just lifeing? Well, if you continue to believe that life is just life, then you're gonna get the results of just life is just life. So, you know, I just wanted to just come on to this morning and just basically just recap the last three weeks. Not nothing deep, not nothing that's gonna blow your mind, not not nothing that's just gonna give you that that wild moment. But we should have a wild moment. And the wild moment should be what have I really done in the last three weeks? What have I really done? Have I really made any changes? Have I really adopted, adapted to anything in my life that I could see a change? You know, are we are we are we better structured? Do we have a better stability in life? Are we just saying, hey, today is just another day, you know, and I make the best of it? Well, the Bible says, this is the day that the Lord has made, so let's rejoice and be glad in it. So are we are we rejoicing in it? Are we glad, or or even we just even glad to be in it? See, it all starts with our mindset, changing our mind, changing our focus, and understanding that if we just trust God, believe in God, put it in his hands, and let him guide and delete let him guide and lead us, we will have a well-balanced life. You know, Jesus, Jesus didn't put, Jesus didn't uh uh walk this earth and he didn't die for our sins for us not to believe, for us not to have a well-balanced life. And I believe that sometimes we don't want to do the things because we think the things are hard to do. But if you but if you trust in God and put one step forward and just try. Just try something new. Try changing your diet. You know, try saving, try saving $20 a paycheck if you if you can't save $50 or $100 a paycheck. Try reading your Bible if you really don't understand the word of God. Try calming yourself down if you have emotional uh issues with anger or what or whatever. Just just try something. See the see the problem is, and I believe that we're not trying anything, so we're not getting the results of nothing. Are we really trying? Are we really trying to put in the work to have a well-balanced life? For ourselves, for our family. You know, I'm I'm to the age to where there's some things in my life physically that I gotta change in order to be around for my grandkids. In order to be around longer for my wife. So if you don't want to do it for yourself, do it for the ones that you love. Because they deserve it. You know, so guys, I just wanted to come on and just recap the last three weeks and just talk to you. Just give you something to think about. Go back and watch the go back and watch the last three videos and say to yourself, you know what? He's right. I hadn't been doing this. I haven't been doing that. I should be doing this in order to have a well-balanced life. So, guys, go back, watch the last three videos if you hadn't watched them, and let's make some changes. Let's do something different. Let's show you know the people that we love and we care about that we're doing this and we are the man of God that God put us in charge to be over our families. Make a decision, make a life-changing decision, not just for yourself, but for your family. You know, we all should have a purpose in life, and if you hadn't found that purpose, it's never too late. So, brothers and whoever watching, just go back, watch the last three videos, and let's make some changes. Let's do something different, let's understand why it's important to have a well-balanced life. And not only that, go back and watch some of the videos from from uh brother Michael Baldwin that talks about physical fit. Go back and watch a couple videos about uh that uh Eller Larry Cummins put out about being financially fit. Go watch the videos about Elder uh Raymond Sharp, who talked about being spiritually fit. Go watch the videos about brother uh Joe Wimbush that talks about being emotionally fit. Do something. If I leave with nothing to nothing else today, I leave you with this. Do something. God bless you.
