Good morning, brothers. I am Brother Mike Balden, a member of Word of God Christian Center here in Fairville, North Carolina. We come to you guys this morning with our commitment to our men's devotional. Fellas, this morning I'm super excited. First, before I get started, I want to thank you fellas for uh nominating me as um man of the month for uh for this month. I really appreciate it. Uh, you guys truly do not know uh the impact that that had on the brother. So I just want to extend my thanks and gratitude to you guys, okay? We're gonna take that same energy, we're gonna dive right into a devotional this morning. Um, the title of the uh devotional this morning is gonna be Built Strong, the ultimate dual training. Okay? We're gonna present this the same as you were outlined a workout, okay? Warm-up, workout, cool down, okay? Again, like I said, we're gonna dive straight into it. Here's the warm-up. In a world obsessed with gains, six-packs, shortcuts, and PRs, we often treat the body like a temple, but the spirit like a storage unit. We spend hours tracking micros and mileage, yet 1 Timothy 4.8 brings us back to the ultimate training manual. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and a life to come. Here's a workout, guys. Paul isn't telling Timothy to skip the gym. Let's acknowledge that. Okay, he's acknowledging that physical training is of some value, it builds discipline. Key word, discipline. It builds discipline. Just a quick side note, developing that one characteristic, y'all understand what discipline is. It is fully transferable. So once you develop that characteristic, you can transfer it and place it in places in your life. Okay? Back on track. It builds discipline, endurance, and respects the body God gave you. But physical strength has an expiration date. Your muscles will eventually fatigue. Your spiritual core, however, is meant to last forever. To be built strong, we must engage in cross-training, resistance training, the spirit. Just as weights tear muscles to build it stronger, trials and spiritual disciplines, prayer, fasting, scripture. Build a resilience that doesn't crack under pressure. Endurance, the soul. Physical breath is vital, but the spirit, excuse me, but the Holy Spirit is the auction of the soul. Training in godliness ensures you don't gas out when life hits the ult the ultimate uphill climbs. The cooldown. True strength isn't just about what you can lift, it's about what you can carry. When you train your spirit alongside your body, you develop a strength that serves others and honors God. Don't just build a physique that looks good in the mirror, but build a spirit that holds fast for eternity. Challenge for this week, fellas. Take five minutes a day to train your spirit in the same intensity. You'll give a final set of squats, leg day, right? Read a scripture. Set in silence with the presence of God. Or serve someone without credit. As always, guys, it's great communicating with you guys and spending time with you. Thanks again for Man of the Month. Look forward to seeing you guys soon. God bless.
